1st BlastBall Practice

Today we had Brooks' 1st BlastBall practice. BlastBall is the beginnings of TBall. Basically they are learning to hit the ball off the stand, run to first base and catch the ball in the "outfield". It is a 3 inning game, all the players get to bat each inning and all get on base no matter what. First base "honks" when you jump on it. When you are in the outfield you catch the ball, say "blastball" and then throw it back into the coach. I was really sure what to expect since this was the first time that Brooks would be playing a sport on a team. He responded really well to the coach and enjoyed playing on both sides of the ball. We are super excited about this season and look forward to see his progression throughout the 10 game season. I will post pictures of his first game which is not for a couple weeks because he will be missing his first game due to surgery.
